Cafe, The, or Moi?

We slept in this morning (again) and then decided to walk through Chinatown and Old Montreal. We stepped outside into a blustery, snowy day! Not your typical Easter morning. We stopped at a little bistro in Old Montreal since we were freezing. We shared a tiramisu and I had chaud chocolat while Jim had coffee. We came back to the room to warm up and Jim ended up taking a little nap. I tried, but couldn't.

Our treat for the afternoon was high tea at the Ritz-Carlton (1228 rue Sherbrooke Ouest). I felt so special...we were dressed up (Jim looked so handsome), the staff was attentive, and the hotel is lovely. They brought out a tri-level tray with scones and Devonshire cream, small finger sandwiches, and miniature cookies. We had English Breakfast tea, which was brewed perfectly. When I asked Jim if he liked the delicious chicken sandwiches, he said, "Yeah, if it was on a sub roll with a beer!"

You can dress them up....

After we returned to our room, Jim left for New York. He has to work at the NY plant tomorrow...and then he'll commute back to Montreal with the other Bombardier employees when he's done.

So that means I'll be exploring the city alone tomorrow...look out Montreal!
