Missed High Five Friday....

So I guess Six on a Sunday? Here's my happy list for the past week...

1) Spent the weekend in Montreal to start off my spring break. It's my favorite city in the world (so far...) and I feel like I've come home when I drive up University Ave. We stayed in the Omni, as usual, and enjoyed our morning croissants delivered to the room. Even though the hotel was at 95% occupancy, we still received excellent service, as usual.

2) Saw the last hockey game of the regular season. Although the Habs lost, it was a great game. It was the first time DH and I got to see Crosby, Malkin, and Staal (Jordan) in person. Price, Montreal's excellent YOUNG goalie, got player of the game, deservedly so. He had some saves that left our mouths hanging open and brought the crowd to their feet in a standing O.

3) DH bought cheese. Lots of it. Blocks and blocks, actually. His favorite aged Canadian cheddar is addictive, apparently.  : )

4) I have a week off for Spring break. It couldn't have come soon enough. When the kids start getting sick and passing it around in cycles, you know it is time to get them apart for a little bit.

5) I started a third novel, which I think has great potential and is so much fun to write. Yippee...it was serendipity that brought it to me. I got the idea while cleaning!

6) Best of All: I'm flying to see my mom in West Virginia tonight! I haven't seen what she's done to her new house...the one she bought after my dad died. She is happy again...near her extended family and her high school friends. She's constantly on the go and having fun. I'm so glad she is enjoying herself once more!

Tell him to save some of that cheddar for me and Kev! That would be a nice b-day present for him.
